It's been a while since we've sent out a newsletter, but with so much exciting news we just had to sit down and let you know all about it.

Case Study - Kumfy Tailz

When it comes to telling a great story one of the keys is differentiation and the ability to stand out in a crowded industry.
I met Gail Sanders-Luckman two years ago in my SCORE PR workshop and she certainly had a product that stood out in a crow - a $50B+ a year crowd.
 Kumfy Tailz started with a harness. A harness with a one-of-a-kind concept using gel bag technology. The first product to focus on canine physiology, the harness, with gel bag, addresses the core of the dog, where fur and thin are the thinnest and the cardiovascular system is located. Freezing or microwaving the gel bag, placing in the harness and putting on the core of the dog helps regulate body temperature. The company came out with a winter coat using the same concept.
Since starting with Kumfy Tailz two years ago, we've achieved more than 40 stories and reviews (industry, consumer and blog) and additional opportunities with small business blogs including; AKC Family Dog, Pet Business (3x's), Pet Product News (4x's), Woman's Day, Windy City Live, Chicago Tribune, Animal Radio, DogTipper.com, AllThingsDog blog, and will soon be seen in the premiere issue of Good Doggy with Martha Stewart cover...and we're not done!
We set up 15 media interviews at Global Pet Expo 2012 and expect the same at Superzoo in July. And, while we have a ways to go still, we've grown its social media presence by 200%.
In a lot of ways, the product speaks for itself but educating media required some creativity through infographics.
Expect to see it in some major retailers in the next year!
