Winter is Coming, Priorities Change

Following one of the warmest fall's in years, the weather is finally turning cold, likely below normal for the coming week. It does not appear that we will have severe weather in the valley but we will likely get our first frost and temperatures will be 20 degrees lower than last week. We are on watch for conditions requiring winter snow and ice services and will keep you informed as to our plan as the week unfolds. http://www.kgw.com/cold-windy-weather-on-the-way

Time-out on Leaf Removal, Good Week to Mow

With the dry weather this coming week, we are shifting gears and catching up on mowing where we have been unable to due to the soggy soil conditions. We are normally only focused on leaf removal during the middle of November but the late warm weather that has led to shaggy lawns is having us refocus this week. It will be a challenge on some sites as some lawns are covered in leaves but we will be making site by site plans based on their specific conditions. Hopefully you are satisfied with our strategy with your property as this is a somewhat tough call as mowing and leaf removal are both needed and our resources are fully deployed doing one or the other. The cold will help bring the leaves down and we will be back on track next week with leaf removal again through the end of the month.
