DBI Small Business Saturday Passport

Collect your downtown Blacksburg Small Business Saturday Passport  

from participating businesses on November 29.  When you make a purchase on the day, your passport will be marked with a stamp or sticker. Each business will thank you for your support with anything from a discount to a cup of hot chocolate.

 

 

2nd annual local Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce SHOPPING event 
The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce has joined efforts with American Express and its Shop Small Business Saturday. Shoppers are encouraged to shop at participating small businesses around the Towns of Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Montgomery County. At each of the participating businesses, the shopper can enter their name in a drawing for five (5) -  $200 gift cards to be held on December 2 at 9:00 am. There will be five winners.

Sponsors: The New River Bank, Downtown Blacksburg Inc., National Bank of Blacksburg and the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.

Center for Dance
On Friday, October 31, 2014, 9 AM - 12:30 PM, there is a National Disability Employment Awareness Month event held at the Anne and Ellen Fife Theater, Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech. Each October, Virginia Tech's Office of University ADA Services hosts the event to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). NDEAM is a national campaign sponsored by the Department of Labor designed to raise awareness of disability employment issues. The event is free and open to the public.
